Our Halloween 2009

This is the dress I spent many many hours making. My first sewing from a pattern project...not bad for a newbie.

Nathan was our little military man. Sorry we didn't get any pictures with his camo helmet. It was way too big for him but cute as can be. We just couldn't keep it on him. This is what he will be next year too!
You can see how big his outfit was! This is someone's trunk at our ward trunk or treat...No we don't have a van yet.

Brooklynn playing with some girls in the ward.

What a sweetie!

This was a game where you threw kitchen sponges and the faces to win a prize. Brooklynn loved doing it though she just tried to throw them as far as she could. This particular time all 3 went over and behind the targets :)

My cute family...

Soup and bread for lunch.

I know this is a lovely picture of Brooklynn, but you can see a little more of the dress.

She made a fine little princess. As Jed says, it is hard work looking so beautiful.

Happy Easter 2009

Here are the kids in the Easter outfits. Jed took these as I was rushing to get ready for church. Don't look too closely at this one, I had to photoshop the best picture of Nathan on to the best one of Brooklynn, as you can see I didn't have much to work with.
This adorable little suit came from Sears...not bad huh?
Brooklynn's beautiful dress from Grandma, and we got it big enough she will be able to wear it next year...yay!

Our little Musician...

This was Nathan's first experience playing piano (12/07/08)! He loved it! It was so funny, he sat there and played FOREVER! He doesn't play as much anymore, he will for a few minutes but then he gets bored.

Attempting to Blog!

Well, due to the persistent encouragement of many friends and family, I am going to try to start blogging. Obviously I started this thing months ago and then decided I simply didn't have time for such a thing. Now, because I keep hearing over and over and OVER, "you should start a blog," here I am!
Anyway, our big excitement today is that Jed got an awesome job working for none other than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! Yay! They have told him he will get to know a lot of general authorities because he will be working with them so much, so that will be cool. Looks like we will be sticking around Utah for a while longer (we were ready to leave).
Brooklynn is getting sassy faster then she is growing. All the ladies at church think she is so cute when she walks around with her nose in the air and her hands on their hips, haha. She is also working on potty training... I am open to any miracle methods in that department if anyone has suggestions. Despite her typical terrible toddler characteristics, she is a sweet and loving big sister who always puts her parents in their place.!
Nathan is a wonderful addition to our family. Learning to deal with colic has been fun, but I think he is starting to grow out of it a bit (cross my fingers). Jed is convinced he is a mama's boy, but then Brooklynn was a mama's girl, so what can I say :).
Well, since the kiddos are in bed I'm going to head there too.

South Padre Island

This is a picture of Brooklynn from our trip to the beach in southern Texas! It was the night of our Grandparents Anniversary party and we were having a hard time getting her to stand still! This was the first time I have ever tried curling her hair, it was a little wavy because of the humidity and the curls actually turned out really well! We had a lot of fun and Brooklynn loved playing with her cousins!
